Student Services Officer & First Aid Lead (Maternity Cover)

About the role
We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Student Services Officer who will also lead first aid provision during a maternity cover period. The role sits at the heart of the school’s Student Information Centre, ensuring a safe, welcoming and efficient environment for pupils, families and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for all first‑aid incidents and manage the school’s medical provision.
- Maintain first‑aid procedures, equipment, training records and coordinate vaccination programmes.
- Run the Student Information Centre, handling uniform compliance, lost property and direct parent communication.
- Keep accurate, confidential medical and administrative records in line with data‑protection guidelines.
- Work closely with safeguarding, health & safety and pastoral teams to support student wellbeing.
Required profile
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) and a valid First Aid qualification.
- Minimum three years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong analytical ability to manage spreadsheets and analyse accident logs.
- Good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and infection‑control procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a calm, empathetic demeanor.
