Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, play‑based activities aligned with the EYFS statutory framework.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment that supports the prime and specific areas of development.
• Apply positive behaviour management strategies suitable for very young learners.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and other practitioners within the setting.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child protection at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK early years teaching qualification.
• Recent, strong experience teaching in a UK Nursery or Reception setting.
• Excellent understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
• Imaginative, warm and proactive approach to early childhood education.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Required skills

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent early years qualification.
