Supply Teacher / Cover Supervisor – Bishop's Stortford

About the role

Academics is seeking enthusiastic Supply Teachers and Cover Supervisors to work across a range of primary schools in Bishop's Stortford starting September 2026. This temporary, day‑to‑day role offers the freedom to choose when and where you teach while earning a competitive daily rate.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons and maintain continuity of learning in the classroom.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Adapt quickly to different year groups, school policies and timetables.
• Provide support to pupils and staff as needed during your placement.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant experience as a Cover Supervisor.
• Passion for teaching and supporting children’s learning.
• Confidence in managing classroom behaviour.
• Ability to adapt to varied school settings.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
