Supply Teacher – Flexible Classroom Role in Sittingbourne

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic supply teachers to cover daily or short‑term teaching assignments across schools in Sittingbourne. This role lets you step into a classroom, deliver lessons and leave the planning and marking to the host school, giving you a healthier work‑life balance.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the planned curriculum for the assigned class on the day of placement.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Follow the host school's policies, procedures and assessment guidelines.
- Provide brief feedback to the regular teacher on student progress, if required.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different school settings and year groups.
- Patient, caring nature and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Flexibility to work on short notice and on varying days.
Required skills
- Strong classroom management and instructional delivery.
- Excellent communication with pupils, staff and parents.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and school procedures accurately.
What we offer
- Day rates between £160 – £210, dependent on experience and qualifications.
- Freedom to choose the days and schools you work in, full‑time or part‑time.
- Experience across a variety of primary, secondary and SEN schools in the South East.
- Support from a national education recruitment agency.
