About the role

Academics is seeking qualified teachers with QTS to provide reliable cover in schools across Letchworth Garden City. This temporary, day‑by‑day role lets you choose the days you work while staying in the classroom doing what you love.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans and classroom activities on short notice.
• Adapt quickly to different year groups and school environments.
• Maintain classroom discipline and support pupil learning.
• Provide accurate attendance and progress records for each placement.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in primary education.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Reliability, enthusiasm and the ability to integrate smoothly into any school setting.
