Supply Teacher – Primary (Grays, ASAP)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for reliable Primary Supply Teachers to provide day‑to‑day cover across a range of welcoming primary schools in Grays and surrounding areas. This temporary position offers immediate start dates, flexible bookings and the chance to work with diverse school communities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons across the full primary age range.
• Maintain strong behaviour management and classroom discipline.
• Build quick rapport with pupils and adapt to each school’s routines.
• Follow safeguarding policies and school procedures.
• Complete daily administrative tasks and record‑keeping as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and primary teaching experience.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional child‑related references.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (desirable).

Required skills

• Effective behaviour management.
• Ability to quickly build rapport with pupils.
• Flexibility to adapt to different school environments.
