Supply Teacher – Primary & Secondary (Burnley)

About the role

Reed Education, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, is seeking supply teachers for primary and secondary schools in the Burnley area. The role is suitable for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers (NQTs) who can commit to at least two days per week and travel locally.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum across EYFS, Key Stages 1‑5.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Support the safeguarding of all pupils and follow school policies.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners, including SEN students.
• Collaborate with permanent staff to ensure continuity of learning.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with excellent spelling and grammar.
• Recent experience in primary, secondary or SEN settings.
• Commitment to professional development and a passion for working with children.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check and adhere to safeguarding standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Familiarity with EYFS, Key Stages 1‑5.
