Swimming Teacher – Newbury Leisure Centre

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic swimming teachers to join Newbury Leisure Centre. You will deliver safe, engaging swimming lessons to children and adults, helping them build confidence and lifelong water skills.
Key responsibilities
- Provide group and one‑to‑one swimming lessons in line with the centre’s teaching standards.
- Maintain a welcoming, professional poolside environment for all customers.
- Ensure pupil safety and compliance with health, safety and safeguarding regulations.
- Encourage enrolment in further courses and support new‑enrolments and re‑enrolments.
- Record attendance, progression and maintain accurate pupil records.
Required profile
- Approachable, patient and able to motivate a diverse range of learners.
- Hold STA Level 2 or Swim England Level 2 qualification.
- Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and child protection policies.
