Syndicate Accountant – Lloyd's Insurance (12‑month contract)

About the role
We are seeking a Syndicate Accountant to join a market‑leading Lloyd's insurance business in London on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role supports the finance team by delivering accurate regulatory and management reporting for the syndicate.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare Lloyd's returns, including QMA, QMB and Solvency II reports, ensuring compliance with Lloyd's standards.
- Produce monthly and quarterly syndicate financial statements on established timetables.
- Compile the monthly syndicate P&L and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor liquidity and improve short‑term cash‑flow forecasting.
- Maintain syndicate and group bank accounts and mandates.
- Prepare and reconcile technical journal entries within documented deadlines.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in the Lloyd's or broader insurance market.
- Knowledge of Solvency II or Lloyd's regulatory reporting.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or close to qualification.
