Tax Manager - FS Corporate Tax

About the role

KPMG’s Financial Services Corporate Tax team is seeking a Manager to deliver corporate tax advisory services for a portfolio of financial services clients across the UK. The role involves both advisory and compliance work, client relationship management, and contribution to business development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver corporate tax advisory engagements for banking, insurance, and asset management clients.
• Provide tax advice, including Pillar Two advisory work where applicable.
• Manage and review tax compliance deliverables as required.
• Interact directly with clients, maintaining relationships and commercial arrangements.
• Support tax audit activities for audited financial services entities.
• Lead and develop junior team members, ensuring high‑quality project delivery.
• Conduct technical research to address complex tax queries.
• Participate in business development initiatives to grow the client portfolio.

Required profile

• Manager‑level experience with a solid understanding of UK corporate tax.
• Ability to manage client relationships and commercial aspects of engagements.
• Experience in leading and mentoring teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest or experience in financial services tax (banking, insurance, asset management) is beneficial but not mandatory.
