About the role
We are seeking an experienced International Tax & Employment Tax Manager to support the rapid expansion of a specialist engineering and construction services firm in London. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will oversee tax compliance for a growing, mobile workforce across multiple European jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee employment, international and workforce tax compliance for staff deployed across Europe.
- Provide strategic tax advice on payroll, social security and cross‑border employment matters.
- Develop and maintain tax governance frameworks and policies.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, Global Mobility, Payroll, Legal and external advisers to align tax strategy with business objectives.
- Support the company’s growth plan, managing tax aspects of expanding the workforce from 100 to 200 employees.
Required profile
- Degree in Tax or Accountancy (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in employment or international tax.
- Proven track record managing tax obligations for globally mobile employees.
- Strong knowledge of European social security and payroll regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.

- Advanced Excel for financial modelling and salary‑calculator development.
- Financial modelling.
