Teaching Assistant for Neurodivergent Children (ASD/ADHD)

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding independent school in North London. You will work closely with neurodivergent pupils aged 7‑19, primarily supporting those on the autistic spectrum and with ADHD.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group academic support for students with ASD, ADHD and related needs.
- Promote an inclusive classroom atmosphere and offer emotional support when required.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Assist with lesson planning, delivery and classroom organisation.
- Follow safeguarding policies to ensure student safety and wellbeing.
Required profile
- Right to work in the UK and a clear, up‑to‑date DBS check.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant, preferably with neurodivergent learners.
- Understanding of ASD and ability to engage confidently with students.
- Patient, proactive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
