Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Full‑time, Braintree)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in Braintree. The position starts in September and offers a full‑time day rate of £90‑£100, providing an excellent opportunity to support young learners and develop your career in a nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support across the primary age range.
• Assist the teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
• Manage pupil behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
• Support pupils individually and in small groups to enhance their understanding.
• Maintain up‑to‑date safeguarding practices.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children in a UK primary school (placements accepted).
• Relevant TA training or qualifications (desirable).
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional child‑related references.
