Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Full‑time)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in Chelmsford. The role starts in September and offers a long‑term, full‑time placement within a nurturing environment that values mentorship and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to the teacher across the primary age range.
• Assist with behaviour management and create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Support individual pupils and small groups to reinforce lesson content.
• Help prepare and organise teaching resources and materials.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children in a UK primary school (placements accepted).
• Relevant TA training or qualifications (desirable).
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional child‑related references.
