Teaching Assistant – Secondary School

About the role

Reeson Education is supporting a large mainstream secondary school in Croydon that seeks an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to start in September 2026. The role involves supporting pupils with moderate learning difficulties across a range of subjects and year groups.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive classroom environment in line with lesson plans.
• Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to help students achieve their learning goals.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of learning activities.
• Establish constructive relationships with students and adapt interactions to individual needs.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal and listening skills with a commitment to helping each student reach their full potential.
• Previous experience in a secondary school or a recent graduate aspiring to become a qualified teacher.
• Experience or interest in supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) is encouraged.
