Teaching Assistant – September Start in Braintree

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in Braintree. The role starts in September and offers a long‑term, full‑time position supporting young learners across the primary age range.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and assist the teacher with daily lessons.
• Help manage pupil behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Support pupils individually and in small groups, reinforcing learning objectives.
• Assist with safeguarding duties and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children in a UK primary school (placements accepted).
• Relevant TA training or qualifications (desirable).
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional child‑related references.
