Teaching Assistant – Year 1 Primary School (Full‑time, Temporary)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Teaching Assistant for a Year 1 class in an Ofsted ‘Good’ primary school located in West London. The school operates as a two‑form entry mainstream primary school and benefits from a supportive senior leadership team. The role is full‑time, temporary, covering the academic year from 7 September 2026 until July 2027, with working hours of 8:15 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, term‑time only. The successful candidate will join a supportive environment that offers training and the possibility of contract extension or a permanent position based on performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year Teaching Assistant experience in the UK
• Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child‑barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child‑related references covering at least the last two years
