Technical Area Sales Manager – Multi Tech

About the role

We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our External Sales department as a Technical Area Sales Manager. The role covers the CB, LU, PE and SG postcode areas and focuses on developing new business and growing existing accounts within the Private and Domestic sector.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve defined targets across the full product range.
• Build and maintain customer accounts across the multi‑tech sales area, focusing on Private & Domestic Installers, Merchants and British Gas.
• Identify customer business opportunities and implement activities to develop strong relationships.
• Take personal responsibility for resolving local issues using commercial and business awareness.
• Support associated departments (Service, Marketing, Product Management, Logistics, Training, Internal Sales) in dispute resolution between core customers and consumers.

Required profile

• Able to multitask, prioritise and manage time efficiently.
• Detailed knowledge of the heating industry, market, network and key contacts.
• Good understanding of customer base, purchase potential and market dynamics.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and technical issues.
• Strong sales and key‑account management skills with the ability to negotiate and influence at many levels.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Computer literate with a good understanding of PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to operate on social media platforms and deliver key messages to customers.
• Capability to prepare and interpret management information and reports.
• Focus on continuous improvement and execution of business change initiatives.
