Technical Paraplanner – Financial Services

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Technical Paraplanner to work one‑to‑one with a Financial Adviser in Horsham. You will be deeply involved in the full advice process, from initial fact‑find to the preparation of robust, compliant recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly alongside an Adviser on client bank and technical cases.
• Undertake full scoping of advice, including fact‑find analysis and identification of planning opportunities.
• Conduct detailed technical research across pensions, investments, tax planning and protection.
• Prepare suitability reports and technical documentation.
• Analyse existing policies and provide recommendation comparisons.
• Support the adviser in developing appropriate client strategies.
• Ensure all advice documentation meets compliance and regulatory standards.
• Liaise with providers and internal teams where required.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a Technical Paraplanner role.
• Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, tax and retirement planning.
• Experience writing detailed suitability reports.
• Ability to work closely with an Adviser and manage complex cases.
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and compliance awareness.
