Technical Payroll Solutions Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Payroll Solutions Consultant to join James Gray Associates on a permanent basis. The role blends technical sales, solution implementation and account management for workplace pension and payroll technology platforms. You will work remotely, travelling to London when required, to support employers, payroll bureaus and advisers throughout the sales‑to‑go‑live journey.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver product demonstrations and articulate payroll and pension requirements to senior stakeholders.
• Prepare proposals, configure workplace pension schemes, salary exchange and support data migrations.
• Lead onboarding projects, manage implementation timelines and ensure successful go‑live.
• Provide training and ongoing technical advice to clients, driving adoption and process automation.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with partners, identify upsell opportunities and support referral programmes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in payroll software, implementation, solutions consulting or pre‑sales.
• Strong understanding of payroll processing, auto‑enrolment and salary exchange.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to Payroll Managers and Directors.
• Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously in a fast‑growing environment.
