Technical Support Specialist I

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist I to provide both in‑person and remote assistance to colleagues across our UK office. The role involves troubleshooting laptops, operating systems, software, printers and mobile devices, as well as delivering user training and ensuring smooth operation of video conference rooms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote technical support for laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices and related software.
• Monitor laptop health proactively, analyse performance issues and implement solutions to improve system efficiency.
• Support and troubleshoot IT infrastructure failures and degradation, escalating to third‑party providers or senior staff when required.
• Maintain and test video conference rooms to ensure they are fully functional.
• Document recurring issues and develop best‑practice guides.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Experience with desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and Office 365.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Hardware and software installation and troubleshooting.
• Fundamentals of Active Directory.
• Mobile Device Management using Azure/Intune.
• Awareness of ITIL practices.
