Technician / Technical Assistant – Radio Communications

About the role

Vecta Labs UK is looking for skilled and semi‑skilled Technicians and Technical Assistants to join a modern factory in Manchester. You will work on the assembly and testing of radio communication infrastructure systems that support mobile networks.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components of radio communication equipment.
• Install and terminate RF, fibre and DC cables to radios and antennas.
• Perform functional testing and basic RF measurements on finished units.
• Support quality and safety standards throughout the production process.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills on the job.
• UK residency – no sponsorship available.

Required skills

• Mechanical assembly processes.
• Handling of RF, fibre and DC cables and connections to radios and antennas.
• Experience with mobile communication radio site installation (highly regarded).
• Basic proficiency with RF measurement and testing equipment.
