Temp Customer Service Administrator

About the role

This temporary position supports a leading UK accounting and tax software provider in Wokingham. The role involves handling inbound customer calls, providing accurate information, and assisting the finance team with basic numerical tasks. It is a full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday role with the option to work from home on Fridays.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound customer calls and manage general enquiries.
• Listen to customers, understand their queries and provide clear, helpful information.
• Record customer details and update internal systems accurately.
• Use Microsoft Excel to input, manage and analyse information.
• Support the Finance Team with basic financial and numerical tasks.
• Handle numerical information confidently and accurately.
• Escalate complex queries to the appropriate team when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service or call handling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Comfortable working with numbers and numerical data.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional telephone manner and friendly, patient attitude.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to start immediately.
