Temporary Accommodation Officer – 3-Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Officer to join our busy Housing team on a three‑month contract. The role combines administration, customer service and on‑site support to help vulnerable households settle into temporary accommodation.

Key responsibilities

• Register households into temporary accommodation and conduct sign‑ups.
• Carry out property inspections, safety checks and ensure compliance.
• Liaise with accommodation providers, landlords and other stakeholders.
• Assist residents in accessing support services and arrange essential items in emergencies.
• Respond to urgent situations to safeguard vulnerable residents.

Required profile

• Strong administrative experience with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, calm and empathetic when supporting vulnerable individuals.
• Organised with the ability to manage a varied workload.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
