Temporary Computer Science Lecturer – Flexible Assignments

About the role

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Computer Science Lecturers for temporary assignments with well‑established Further Education providers in North London. You will deliver engaging lessons across a range of programmes, helping learners develop technical knowledge, problem‑solving abilities and practical computing skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Computer Science lessons.
• Teach learners of varying levels and abilities.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support.
• Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Support learners in developing practical computing, programming and digital skills.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Computer Science, Computing, IT or related field.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Computer Science in Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary or Adult Learning.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
