Temporary Concierge/Porter – Bournemouth (December)

About the role

A temporary Concierge/Porter position is available in Bournemouth (BH1) for dates during December, covering a residential building. The post-holder is the first and main point of contact for residents, guests and external contractors, reporting to head office management and monitoring on-site security.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the Concierge desk and deliver high-quality customer service to residents, guests and contractors
• Oversee building security, including CCTV monitoring, access fobs and keys, and act as main Key Holder in emergencies
• Carry out daily security checks and test fire alarms and emergency lighting, keeping accurate records
• Clean internal areas, car parks, yards, entrances and external pathways, and carry out specialist cleaning as required
• Maintain the building, grounds and external areas, carry out minor repairs and report larger issues
• Keep fire escape routes clear, manage waste areas and check roofs, lighting and exterior fixtures
• Grit paths and manage snow and ice
• Coordinate contractors and suppliers, receive and store deliveries, and monitor stock levels
• Order cleaning supplies and equipment and use PPE to replace lighting and carry out basic maintenance

Required profile

• Significant experience in a similar concierge role
• Background in delivering excellent customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good understanding of Health and Safety processes

What we offer

• Pay of £13 to £14.57 per hour
• Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
