Temporary Finance Officer – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Finance Officer to join our established team on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. This full‑time position offers a hands‑on finance administration role within a supportive environment, ideal for candidates with AAT Level 2 qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
• Raise and process sales invoices
• Enter data and maintain financial records using Scribe accounting software
• Perform basic bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks
• Manage petty cash
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records
• Assist with general finance administration as required
• Ensure financial records are up‑to‑date and accurate

Required profile

• AAT Level 2 qualification (minimum)
• Previous experience in finance or accounts administration
• Good bookkeeping knowledge and strong numerical skills
• Experience with invoice processing and financial data entry
• Payroll processing experience
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
