Temporary Fleet Administrator – Scunthorpe

About the role

We are looking for a Temporary Fleet Administrator to join our headquarters in Scunthorpe for an initial period of 3‑4 months. You will be the central point for coordinating all administrative functions of our transport operation, ensuring vehicle provision, safety and compliance are maintained to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Daily interrogation of the Samsara platform to identify safety‑related trigger events and initiate coaching processes.
• Escalate non‑compliance issues to the Group Head of Fleet and track improvement.
• Manage the fuel‑card account, enforce policy adherence and complete requisitions.
• Liaise with site operations teams to gather queries, concerns and weekly driver sheets.
• Prepare weekly reports for the Group Head of Fleet and monthly board reports for the Managing Director.
• Issue order numbers for SMR costs and monitor vehicle on/off hire requests.
• Oversee daily walk‑around checks, report non‑conformances and maintain the PMI wallchart.
• Ensure O/L licence disc requisitioning, vehicle tax and MOT compliance.
• Perform any additional duties as directed by the Group Head of Fleet.

Required profile

• Background in infrastructure or traffic management is desirable.
• Standard national road transport CPC (or working towards it) preferred.
• Ability to work flexible patterns and occasional travel by agreement.
• Clean driving licence is advantageous.

Required skills

• Samsara telematics platform proficiency.
