About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Maths Lecturer for a temporary assignment with a well‑established Further Education provider in Central London. The role offers immediate start, flexible scheduling and the chance to support learners across GCSE and Functional Skills programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality mathematics lessons.
- Teach across GCSE and Functional Skills maths curricula.
- Assess, monitor and record learner progress.
- Provide constructive feedback and personalised support.
- Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college policies.
- Foster an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.
Required profile
- Relevant degree or qualification in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) desirable.
- Experience teaching maths in Further Education, secondary or adult learning settings.
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
