Temporary Maths Lecturer – Flexible FE Role

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Maths Lecturer for a temporary assignment with a well‑established Further Education provider in Central London. The role offers immediate start, flexible scheduling and the chance to support learners across GCSE and Functional Skills programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality mathematics lessons.
• Teach across GCSE and Functional Skills maths curricula.
• Assess, monitor and record learner progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and personalised support.
• Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college policies.
• Foster an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience teaching maths in Further Education, secondary or adult learning settings.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
