Town Planner – Hybrid Role in Oxfordshire

About the role

Join a supportive, close‑knit planning consultancy in Oxfordshire where you will manage planning applications, appeals, site appraisals and client relationships from day one. You will be mentored by experienced senior planners and have the chance to grow your autonomy and career within a thriving independent practice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals.
• Conduct site visits and deliver detailed planning appraisals.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and external consultants.
• Support senior team members on complex projects.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in planning legislation and policy.

Required profile

• RTPI‑accredited degree and full or working towards MRTPI status.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a planning consultancy or local authority.
• Strong report‑writing and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Team‑player with a proactive attitude and commercial awareness.
