Trade & Transaction Reporting SME - EMIR & MiFID

About the role

This contract position supports a leading global financial institution in launching new products across its Sales & Trading business. As a Trade & Transaction Reporting Subject Matter Expert, you will work across Front Office, Compliance, Technology and Operations to assess regulatory reporting impacts and drive implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Assess new products and changes for EMIR, EMIR Refit, MiFID II and MiFIR reporting impacts.
• Interpret regulatory requirements and produce detailed gap analyses.
• Draft business requirements documents, functional specifications and process documentation.
• Define data and lifecycle event reporting obligations.
• Collaborate with technology teams to deliver system enhancements.
• Coordinate testing, UAT and implementation activities.
• Support governance forums with risk and dependency updates.
• Assist with remediation and ongoing control improvements.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in EMIR, EMIR Refit, MiFID II and MiFIR reporting.
• Experience conducting regulatory impact assessments and gap analysis.
• Strong business analysis capability, including requirements gathering and BRD production.
• Solid understanding of derivatives and fixed‑income products.

• Competitive daily rate of £750 via umbrella (inside IR35).
