Trainee Commercial Property Agent

About the role

We are looking for a motivated trainee to join our client’s commercial property team in Southampton. The role offers exposure to sales and lettings across office, retail, industrial and mixed‑use assets, with a structured training programme to launch a career in commercial real estate.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and analysis to support pricing strategies and client reporting.
• Assist in sales, lettings and marketing of properties, handling inbound enquiries and following up with applicants.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to generate repeat business.
• Support lease negotiations and sale transactions to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Coordinate transactions from instruction through to completion, liaising with stakeholders.
• Prepare marketing materials such as brochures, virtual tours and manage online listings and social media content.
• Maintain accurate property records, client information and transaction data in internal systems.
• Manage compliance documentation and assist with schedules of evidence and lease event research.
• Support diary management, inspection coordination and general administration related to agency instructions.
• Participate in business development initiatives to enhance market presence.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with property management or database systems.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for inspections and viewings.
