Trainee Contact Lens Optician – Exeter

About the role

Specsavers is seeking a Trainee Contact Lens Optician to join its Exeter store. This full‑time position offers a pathway to the Contact Lens Optician (TCLO) qualification while supporting a busy optical practice.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with contact lens dispensing and fitting.
• Conduct optical tests and maintain accurate patient records.
• Provide advice on eye health and product options.
• Support the sales team in achieving store targets.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming environment across two store floors and 12 test rooms.

Required profile

• Qualified and GOC‑registered Dispensing Optician.
• Excellent communication skills with all customer levels.
• Adaptable, customer‑focused and motivated to meet targets.
• Willingness to undertake the TCLO course.
