Trainee Health and Safety Officer (No Experience Required)

About the role

This traineeship is designed for individuals with no prior health and safety experience who want to launch a career in occupational safety. You will study online at your own pace, gain recognised qualifications and receive support to secure your first health and safety position.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the IOSH Managing Safely course to understand risk assessment and legal duties.
• Earn the NEBOSH General Certificate, covering workplace hazards and safety legislation.
• Conduct practical risk assessments on simulated workplace scenarios.
• Work with the recruitment team to prepare applications, attend interviews and secure a placement.
• Apply health and safety knowledge in a real‑world role once hired.

Required profile

• No previous health and safety experience required.
• Motivated to study online and achieve IOSH and NEBOSH certifications.
• Based in the UK and able to work onsite after training.
• Strong commitment to a career in health and safety.
