Trainee / Junior Composite Laminator

About the role

Carbon ThreeSixty is seeking a motivated trainee or junior composite laminator to join its production team. You will learn to manufacture high‑performance carbon‑fibre components for aerospace, automotive and defence applications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare materials by interpreting technical drawings and ply manuals, cutting and kitting components.
• Perform precision lay‑up of carbon‑fibre pre‑preg materials into moulds, ensuring airtight seals and zero defects.
• Apply vacuum‑bagging consumables, conduct leak checks and ready parts for autoclave or oven curing.
• Maintain tooling by cleaning moulds and applying release agents for high‑quality surface finishes.
• Work in a clean‑room environment, document processes and uphold rigorous quality standards.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or school leaver with strong hand‑eye coordination.
• Methodical, patient and proud of delivering a job well done.
• Ability to follow complex instructions and technical diagrams accurately.
• Team‑player eager to learn in a fast‑paced engineering setting.
