Transactions Accountant (Russian Speaking) – International Art Trading

About the role

A well-established central London company specialising in international art trading and high-value transactions is looking for a Transactions Accountant. The role is fully office-based and covers financial transactions, client accounts and compliance within an international art trading business, combining accounting, AML/KYC, tax and post-sale operations. The advertised salary is around £50,000 per annum.

Key responsibilities

• Handle invoices and payments for art auctions
• Calculate payments to sellers and check they are correct
• Carry out AML and KYC checks for buyers and sellers
• Manage VAT, tax and Artist's Resale Rights
• Deal with day-to-day bookkeeping, invoices and expenses
• Keep financial records accurate and meet tight deadlines

Required profile

• Strong experience in finance or accounting
• ACCA qualified or part-qualified
• Anti-Money Laundering experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of or fluency in Russian is a strong advantage, though not essential
• Experience with VAT, tax and financial transactions
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines
• Professional, discreet and confident with high-value clients
