Underwriting Operations Senior Manager – International MGA Lead

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing international insurer in a newly created senior leadership role within Underwriting Operations. Based in London and working in a hybrid model, you will lead the operational delivery of new MGA partnerships from due diligence through onboarding and renewal, while driving continuous improvement across underwriting processes and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational due diligence and onboarding for new MGA programmes.
• Manage programme implementation through to go-live.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams across Underwriting, Finance, Claims, Legal and Technology.
• Oversee binder renewals and operational governance.
• Enhance underwriting systems, reporting and operational processes.
• Build strong relationships with MGAs and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong London market insurance operations experience.
• Delegated authority or MGA expertise.
• Proven project and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience improving operational processes and implementing change.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with underwriting platforms and reporting tools.
