Unqualified Cover Supervisor – Penrith Secondary Schools

About the role

Veritas Education is seeking enthusiastic individuals to work as Unqualified Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Penrith and surrounding areas. This role offers graduates, sports coaches, youth workers, tutors and teaching assistants the chance to gain hands‑on classroom experience without a teaching qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons when the class teacher is absent.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Keep students engaged and on task across a range of subjects.
• Support pupils of various year groups and provide additional assistance as needed.
• Gain first‑hand experience of secondary‑school teaching practices.

Required profile

• Confident, reliable and punctual.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience working with young people is desirable but not mandatory.
• Graduates and aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply.
