Unqualified Teacher – Secondary Schools (Various Subjects)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic individuals to work as Unqualified Teachers across secondary schools in Wigan. This role offers the chance to gain classroom experience by delivering pre‑planned lessons while supporting qualified staff during their absence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Encourage student focus and engagement throughout lessons.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff after each session.
• Build constructive relationships with pupils and colleagues.

Required profile

• Holder of a degree or relevant experience working with young people.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Confidence leading groups of students.
• Adaptable, resilient and enthusiastic about education.
• Considering a future career in teaching.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one.
