Visiting and Tenancy Sustainment Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, customer‑focused Visiting and Tenancy Sustainment Officer to help residents maintain successful, long‑term tenancies. The role involves regular home visits, identifying support needs, promoting health and safety, and working closely with partner services to improve resident outcomes across the Wembley area.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tenancy and welfare visits to residents’ homes.
• Identify vulnerabilities, safeguarding concerns and specific tenancy support needs.
• Carry out basic health, fire safety and property condition checks.
• Report repairs, damp, mould, disrepair and other property‑related issues.
• Provide tenancy advice and signpost residents to appropriate support services.
• Gather and maintain accurate resident and household information.
• Refer residents to services such as financial inclusion, employment support and occupational therapy.
• Manage complex cases collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain detailed case records and deliver a high standard of customer service.

Required profile

• Experience in housing management or a similar customer‑focused environment.
• Background in social housing, local government or related sector.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR and tenancy regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for regular travel.

Required skills

• Strong IT skills for maintaining detailed case records.
