Visiting & Tenancy Sustainment Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Visiting & Tenancy Sustainment Officer to be the friendly face of our Housing Service, supporting residents in their homes and helping them thrive in their communities. You will build trusted relationships, identify support needs, and promote safety to sustain successful tenancies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to vulnerable residents and provide practical advice.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and connect residents with appropriate services.
• Support residents facing financial, health, wellbeing or tenancy challenges.
• Undertake home safety checks, dynamic risk assessments and fire safety awareness.
• Identify property issues such as damp, mould, disrepair and liaise with repairs teams.
• Collaborate with tenancy, repairs, safeguarding and support teams.
• Refer residents to specialist services including employment support, financial inclusion and occupational therapy.
• Capture accurate household information and maintain high‑quality case notes.
• Use data to improve services and contribute to resident engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Genuine care for people and a motivation to deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience working with residents, customers or service users.
• Knowledge of social housing and housing management services.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a car for site‑based work.

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate: £20.08 p/h PAYE, £26.62 p/h Umbrella.
• Initial 3‑month contract with the possibility of extension.
• Occasional opportunity to work from home.
