VP Business Architect – Global Investment Bank

About the role

This senior position sits within the Transformation and Change Management team of a leading international banking group. Based in London, you will help shape the future of the organisation across EMEA by designing and governing the Target State Business Architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Define the Target State Business Architecture for all departments and legal entities in EMEA, including capability maps, operating models, value streams and business service models.
• Collaborate with technology, data, compliance and risk experts to ensure holistic designs align with strategic objectives.
• Create detailed implementation roadmaps that balance cost, delivery time and risk.
• Support project and programme teams to keep solutions consistent with the agreed architecture throughout delivery.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of current and target state architectures.
• Promote best practices in business design and mentor colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business architecture or enterprise architecture within the financial services sector.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, working with senior business leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to translate strategic goals into concrete architectural artefacts and roadmaps.
