VP/Associate Director – Capital Markets Origination (FIG DCM)

About the role

This senior position supports the Capital Markets team in London, focusing on origination and execution of debt financing for Financial Institution (FI) and other key issuer clients. You will work within a lean, collaborative environment with exposure to complex funding transactions and senior stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with FI clients and other issuers.
• Support origination activities across debt capital markets transactions.
• Prepare client presentations, market updates and financing proposals.
• Identify funding opportunities and deliver strategic financing ideas.
• Analyse capital market developments and investor trends.
• Assist in the execution of public bond transactions across multiple markets.
• Collaborate closely with syndicate, sales, trading and coverage teams.
• Contribute to new growth initiatives and business development.
• Build relationships with internal Risk, Legal and Credit functions.
• Ensure compliance with governance, conduct and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Experience in Debt Capital Markets, FIG DCM or Capital Markets Origination.
• Exposure to Financial Institution clients such as banks or insurers.
• Strong knowledge of fixed‑income markets and debt products.
• Proven track record supporting funding transactions or capital‑raising activities.
• Excellent relationship‑management and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Strong presentation, analytical and communication capabilities.
• Proactive, commercial mindset with the ability to work independently.
• High professionalism, attention to detail and personal accountability.
