Warehouse Operative – Day Shifts

About the role

24-7 Staffing is recruiting Warehouse Operatives for the Alto warehouse of Smyths Toys in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The position is temporary, paid 14.10 to 16.22 pounds per hour, and involves day shifts. Full training is provided, so previous warehouse experience is not essential.

Key responsibilities

• Picking and preparing orders
• Scanning and sorting stock
• Loading and unloading goods
• Wrapping and moving pallets
• Operating PPT equipment after training
• Completing general warehouse duties

Required profile

• Availability for both shift patterns and weekend work as required
• Reliability, punctuality and good attendance
• Willingness to learn and follow health and safety procedures
• Both shift patterns are open: 6:00am to 4:00pm and 11:00am to 8:00pm; applicants must be able to work either pattern
• Safety shoes must be worn; hi-vis is provided

The working pattern is five days out of seven, including weekends as required. Shifts are assigned by management according to operational needs, and candidates cannot choose a preferred shift.
