Warehouse Operative

About the role

Bihr is looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative to join its Blackburn site on a permanent, full‑time basis. You will work across various areas of the warehouse, handling deliveries, picking and packing orders, and maintaining a safe, organised environment.

Key responsibilities

• Check and unload incoming deliveries, verifying quantities against paperwork.
• Pick customer orders accurately using picking sheets and prioritize according to deadlines.
• Pack orders to meet daily dispatch targets and ensure correct packaging standards.
• Put away stock efficiently, maximise space, and replenish pick locations.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of all work areas, including loading bays and external sites.
• Assist with stock management, periodic stock takes and shelf replenishment.
• Report any unsafe equipment and follow health & safety procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Awareness of lifting, handling and health & safety policies.
• Capability to meet production standards and tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (training will be provided).

• Permanent contract – 39.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday.
