Yard Operative – Full‑time Temporary Role in Rochester

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Yard Operative to join our busy Rochester site. The role is full‑time, temporary and involves handling a variety of vehicles in an outdoor environment, supporting the smooth flow of yard operations.

Key responsibilities

• Safely store, move and park vehicles across the yard in line with the daily schedule.
• Process all incoming vehicles through valet and wash services and ensure they are correctly bar‑coded and keyed.
• Log and remove any valuable items found in vehicles.
• Perform jump‑starting duties when required, with full training provided.
• Escalate any issues, queries or customer concerns to the Yard Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Assist wider yard operations to meet deadlines and maintain workflow.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence, confident driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Genuine interest in the motor industry and pride in delivering high standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.

Required skills

• Vehicle jump‑starting.
• Manual and automatic vehicle operation.
