Year 2 Supply Teacher – Tonbridge Primary Schools

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with several primary schools in Tonbridge to find enthusiastic Year 2 teachers for long‑term and day‑to‑day supply assignments. The role involves delivering the Key Stage 1 curriculum and supporting pupils as they transition to Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in reading, writing and mathematics for Year 2 pupils.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to support academic, social and emotional development.
• Manage behaviour effectively and uphold school policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership to ensure consistent pupil support.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Commitment to pupil progress and achievement.
• Positive, patient attitude and ability to build relationships with pupils and staff.
