Year 2 Teacher – Primary School (Full‑time Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Year 2 teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Tower Hamlets, starting in September. The role is contract‑based with the possibility of becoming permanent, offering the chance to make a real impact on young learners in East London.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons for a Year 2 class.
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Maintain a positive, inspiring classroom environment.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1; Year 2 experience is a plus.
• Strong classroom management and proactive, enthusiastic attitude.
• Genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.

Required skills

• Curriculum planning and delivery for Key Stage 1.
• Assessment and progress tracking.
• Behaviour management techniques.
