About the role
We are partnering with a welcoming, inclusive school in Crewe to provide one‑to‑one support for a Year 5 pupil with autism. This full‑time position starts on a contract basis with the potential to become permanent.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalised, one‑to‑one assistance to the student, adapting support to their individual needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
- Help the pupil access the curriculum and engage in classroom activities.
- Monitor, record and report on the pupil’s progress and behaviour, providing consistent encouragement.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, especially supporting children with autism.
- Compassionate, patient approach to special educational needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning setting.
- Relevant educational qualification or equivalent experience.
